We decided to run this category again for July, as we got quite a few entries last year.

Default Water Tower BBQ Entry #1

This is my official first entry into the Summer Cookout Throwdown.

Sometimes, your summer cookout is just a cookout for one! Super simple....grilled all beef Oscar Mayer hot dog on a super soft Fareway hot dog bun dressed with ketchup, mustard, sweet relish and yellow onion. Oh so good!

Default This is my Entry in the "Summer Cookouts" Throwdown...on the front porch!

A “what if I did this?” moment led to what has become a favorite meal in our house – beef tataki, with a twist – seared grilled flat iron steak, sliced thin, drizzled with ponzu, with the “twist being” kicking up the traditional version with hot sesame chile oil, and a bit of chopped cilantro and jalapeno.

The meat is served with postickers, sometimes we use store-bought, but this time, The Missus made them fresh.

It was raining that night, so pulled out the Smoky Joe and brought it to the front porch:

Meat is cooking:

Everything all plated up and ready to eat:

Please use the above photo as my entry.

Does lunch with friends count as a Summer Cookout? If so, please use this as another entry. Cook Thread

This is my second official entry into the Summer Cookout throwdown.

Quick lunch for my family, my sister's family and dad. Super simple. Eight quarter pounders and a pack of Ball Park bun length beef hot dogs.
