Here's how to play: The meal or main dish you prepare must be based on ANY past Throwdown winner, OR, alternately, any meal or dish from another Brethren posted in Qtalk. You can find many sources of inspiration HERE, from past winners dating back to 2009 in the Hall of Flame.

You MUST include a link to Throwdown entry of the past winner, OR original post and link from Qtalk and include their name in your entry.

You only need to prepare the main dish from a previous winning entry, or Qtalk thread although it's fine if you want to include the sides or any accompanying items that were included in the dish or meal that you source

You may submit entries that are cooked from 8/5 through 8/22.

Entry pictures must be submitted by Noon Central US Time on Monday, 8/22/22.

Best of luck and even better eats to all!

I'm gonna kick this one off. Been a while:

Link to the full thread here: https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...24#post4594224

And I'm inspired by MOOSE! From a very old thread from Q Talk! https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=94482

The inspiration comes from the fact the wings had to be HOT! And they had to be smoked and then fried, although I used an air fryer!

Maybe this is the entry photo? Let's see what Moose says!

Thanks for looking. They were bloody hot, and smoky and crispy!

Cheers!

Bill

I'm going to wade into this one as well. This is my official entry into the "brethren inspired" throwdown.

The inspiration was a post from Ron_L dated 8-2-21. Here is the thread. https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...d.php?t=293405

It's similar to his. We both have 2 legs, 2 sides and 1 beer. The differences are his cook was 10 legs, mine was 12, I hung my legs and his were laying down and he used a paper plate and I used one from the cupboard.

My cook information is in this throwdown. https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...d.php?t=299783

Please use the bottom picture as my entry into the throwdown.

I guess I might as well throw my name in the hat. My major inspiration here is all the excellent photographs that I see in the throwdowns. Of course, since we can't judge by taste good photography is super important. I used a couple clamp on shop lights with plastic shopping bags over them as diffusers. Far from pro level but I think it got the job done.

I also took inspiration from tom b, https://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/s...7&postcount=35, for my side as I had no clue what I wanted to make.

The following is an entry.
