ST Racing Concepts STRC Slash 2wd Universal Driveshaft kit

Carrying over design and material selection from our HPI Blitz and Associated SC10 universal kits, our Slash 2wd universal kits features large diameter universal driveshaft bone for more durability against the power of today’s Lipo battery/Brushless motor combo, the heavier weight of short course truck, and larger diameter of short course truck tires.

We also used the same carbon steel material for axles, which features two sets of universal pin holes so you can get twice the life out of the same set of axles.  The universal joints and joint pins are of carbon steel material as well and the pins features a “step” for the setscrew to have a flat spot to more securely hold the universal driveshafts together.  Lastly, even the universal shaft roll pin at the end was not over looked.  Carbon steel at the pin although strong will unfortunately add excessive wear to the diff outdrives, thus a different material was selected just for the shaft pin for durability and ease of wear on the diff outdrives.

Blue Shock Shaft Guards RPM Shock Shaft Guards are a simple design, replacing your stock shock spring cup with one that has a thin but tough shield rising up to the base of the shock body, completely blocking debris from striking the shock shaft. The back and sides are open, which prevents debris from building inside the guard Black Shock Shaft Guards as well. The kit comes with replacement oversized shock rod ends, improving durability and consistency on the shock pivot ball. Additionally, we redesigned the top of the rod end so it is square. That square end keys the shock shaft guard for directional control. The front shield of the guard covers over 100 degrees of frontal exposure! RPM Shock Shaft Guards Dyeable White Shock Shaft Guards are zero friction protection devices, meaning the guard never touches the working elements of the shock.

JConcepts is assisting in making Short Course Trucks easier to drive. For the first several years of Short Course racing, the only option for tuning front tires on 2wd SCT trucks has been to use a rear tire. JConcepts is the first to introduce the Carvers directional ribbed front tire to Short Course Racing. Next-Generation 2.4GHz Control

The Slash VXL now includes the Traxxas TQ 2.4GHz High Output radio system with Traxxas Link™. This new system offers the unbeatable convenience of “no channels, no crystals” 2.4Ghz technology, and the long-range security of a high-output signal—but that’s just the beginning. The new, patent-pending Traxxas Link technology stores settings for up to 20 Traxxas Link-enabled models, with no naming or “model memory” settings required. Just power up the transmitter and the model you want to drive, and the settings for that model are dialed in immediately! The new TQ 2.4GHz High Output radio is also fully adjustable; steering and throttle end points can be set precisely, and the Multi-Function knob can be programmed to control Steering Sensitivity (Expo), Throttle Sensitivity (Expo), Steering Percentage (Dual Rate), Braking Percentage (Dual Rate), or Throttle Trim.

The patent-pending sealed receiver box houses Traxxas’ newest 5-channel micro receiver and can accept aftermarket receivers as well, without compromising the models’ waterproof properties. The VXL-3s electronic speed control and high-torque, digital servo are sealed against the elements giving you the freedom go places other cars wouldn’t dare to venture.

Proven Velineon Brushless Power

The Velineon 3500 Brushless Motor is precision-matched for use in the 1/10th scale Slash VXL, delivering the perfect balance of brutal horsepower and efficiency. The sensorless design works with the sophisticated circuitry in the VXL-3s Electronic Speed Control for smooth starts and precise control, without the need for additional sensors and wiring. Since there are no brushes or commutator to cause friction and wear, Velineon brushless power is always fast, run after run.

The Velineon VXL-3s forward/reverse electronic speed control simplifies brushless technology with easy operation that gives you all the control you need for maximum fun. Quickly choose from 3 drive profiles in exactly the same manner as other Traxxas electronic speed controls (such as the XL-5). Profiles include: Sport, Race, and Training Mode (patent pending). Training Mode™ limits full-throttle power to 50% allowing young or new drivers to safely develop their control skills before unleashing the full-throttle capability of the Velineon system. Slash VXL’s performance can be tailored for drivers of any age and experience. High-frequency transistors and advanced circuit design deliver incredibly smooth and refined throttle control. With the VXL-3s you have the flexibility to use conventional brushed motors, brushless motors, and sensored brushless motors. The VXL-3s auto detects the motor type for you. High-current capacity (320 amps peak) and two-stage thermal protection frees you from motor limits.
