HB Beams tires are suitable for hard & dry off-road surfaces such as hard-packed clay and 'blue groove' high bite conditions. These tires also work great on indoor tracks.
Keeping true to the realistic short course truck appearance, these tires have a spec appearance but boast HB's exclusive Pink compound that is far superior to any spec tire available.

AKA announces their release of the Enduro and Wishboone tires designed to be used on 1/10 short course trucks. Designed to be used on the stock wheels from all the popular short course trucks, these tires should be a big upgrade to your truck’s performance. Designed by Gil Losi, Jr. and Mark Pavidis, these tires feature 2.2”/3” bead design and an inner carcass design that works with AKA closed cell foams. AKA claims this results in a much more controlled outer sidewall that is more consistent in handling and tread wear. The AKA ENDURO tread pattern is an all-around good tire for just about any surface condition. The WISHBONE is suited to the high bite blue grooved clay tracks or indoor clay tracks.

Erik Shauver is one of the lead engineers and designers at HPI Racing and was the man behind the original Blitz short course truck. For those of you with a Baja 5T, one thing that is a constant PITA for most of us is broken shock rod ends. The T weighs in several pounds heavier than the buggy, but still utilizes the same suspension components, so….. some stronger bits are in order.
The first is the shock shafts with aluminum rod ends. This unique aluminum rod end is a 4 piece design consisting of the aluminum housing and a rubber bushing with 2 aluminum flanged spacers to allow for misalignment of the shock through it’s articulation. This system is very strong, so no more broken off shock ends, but will require regular inspection and maintenance to ensure proper performance, however, the rod end is completely, and inexpensively rebuildable. Short course trucks have become class leaders at many tracks around the nation. What’s more is there’s a class for everyone. Stock class requires you to run stock tires while mod classes pretty much allow you to run whatever you want. Well, for those of you that want the most out of your short courser, the 1:8 superstar Caliber tread design is ready for you to leave stock in the dirt.
