PW, it looked like Ryan had a Manta V2 on earlier in the weekend, what did he like/dislike about the Hi-Flow over the Manta?

If i had to guess he probably liked the down force and air flow of the Hi-Flow more than that of the Manta. The Hi-Flow is a pure performance body......but still looks cool..... Great job Team JC.

Kurt Wenger (AE chief engineer) asked that we try the Manta since we had never raced it on Maifield's truck. I haven't gotten the details, but they found the new Hi-Flow to have a great advantage over anything else. Appearently some other competitors used it as an excuse to why Maifield was on another level...

I'm hoping within the next few weeks. The body is close, but it's all the other little things; decals, instructions, graphics, press releases, etc.

Thank you. I like 99.9% of it, just trying to get used to the beveled rear tail light area.
Were there no issues in the end with overall cutouts/venting at the Nats?

I didn't get to attend; but it seems that cutouts were allowed.

Every cutout you see on Maifield's body is marked for possible cutouts. When allowed; the cutout placement on this body provide a tremendous advantage over most other bodies.

Hey Paul, will the "Hazard" wheels be available for other trucks soon? I do have a SC10 but also a Losi XXX-SCT, SCTE, Traxxas Slash, and my newest truck TQ SX10SC(uses 12mm wheels for Slash 4x4,Blitz).

Can't wait for the Hi-Flow if I havent said that enough, lol.

Also, thanks to Badger, Jason, and you for that copyright infringement deal over on Paint and Body. Even if he did mean not to sell them it's still wrong. We had a guy in Des Moines doing the same thing but was buggy bodies, think Trevor "Chilly" Duncan scared him though, lol. And he seized immediately and he was selling them. Wish I could go to the Hobby Haven Labor Day Shootout, but have to work. Sponsored by Jconcepts! I hear Jason R. is going to be there??

Thanks Paul and the crew at Jconcpets!

Unfortunately we don't have the Hazard wheel planned for other trucks at the moment, but I will certainly bring it up.

Yeah, that whole thing with the body is a mess.

Thanks,
Paul

Hey just wondering if you ever thought about an overtray for the slash with the strc lcg kit. Basically an overtray for a rustler. You could market and sell it for slash and rustler

Sorry for the delay; was out of town for a SCT event.

We have thought about a Rustler overtray, but not a lcg kit. I will look into it; thank you for the post.

Ya that's what I mean. It should fit either the rustler or the slash with the strc lcg as this is a very popular upgrade right now

New Product Release – Illuzion Hi-Flow SCT Body

by Rich on September 14, 2011

Illuzion Hi-Flow SCT body
Part # – 0222
(Fits – Slash, Slash 4×4, SC10, SC10 4×4, Losi XXX-SCT, SCT-E)

JConcepts Hi-Flow SCT body is the 2011 ROAR National Champion.
One of the most critical aspects of tuning a Short Course truck is the performance of the body. JConcepts, always on top of Short Course body development, starting with the original Truth, Manta and the successful 2010 ROAR National Champion Ford Raptor body. Hi-Flow, taken from the JConcepts hierarchy of successful buggy designs, is the latest in Short Course body development which incorporates all the latest technology into a single high-performance body. Already a champion, the Hi-Flow earned the top qualifying position and 1st place at the 2011 ROAR Off-Road Nationals in the Pro 2 Modified class in the hands of Ryan Maifield. A dominating performance, Maifield had no problems taking the TQ in the first 3 rounds of qualifying and 1st place in A-main #1 and 2 to retain the title for JConcepts.

The Hi-Flow is a smash hit, starting with the most fashionable racing look, body panel attack angles and even greater air escape packages, the Hi-Flow oozes of class leading performance. The air escape package consists of user friendly trim-out areas which have been strategically placed to ensure a clean race-able look that minimizes the trouble-some parachute effect. The large Hi-Flow areas are depressed into the body which allows the user to simply score the bottom pocket and pop-out for instant results. The Hi-Flow hood-scoop, used predominantly as an under / over air release feature, blends beautifully into the sculpted extra-clearance fenders while releasing the front end of inner pressure.

The top, rear, fender corners have been wedged reducing dead space, allowing more pass-through area minimizing unwanted air collection. The roof of the body has been dramatically “rock-a-bye” shaped to promote a continuous roll in the event of roof crashes. Large side windows with black-out side window decal treatment gives the Hi-Flow futuristic character. Performance enhanced number and name plates provide straight-line stability while retaining a fashionably styled look that is unmistakable JConcepts.

New Product Release – Hazard SCT Wheel

by Rich on September 14, 2011

Click the image to open in full size.

Hazard 3mm wider off-set 12mm hex wheel
2pc.
Part # – 3344B
(fits SC10 4×4 direct and SC10 with 12mm hex adaptors)

JConcepts Hazard wheel is the 2011 ROAR National Champion.
Short Course trucks have evolved into high-performance racing vehicles and adjustability is always the key to success. Introducing the Hazard 12mm hex wheel for the SC10 4×4 and SC10 by JConcepts. A powerful new look that combines the winning combination of a 10 spoke design, bead-lock appearance and center lug nut detail with a hint of inspiration from yesteryear. The Hazard will make an immediate impact on the performance of the SC10 trucks by widening the stance of the truck by 6mm in overall width. The increased width will maximize the SC10 and bring it up to the ROAR maximum legal limits in dimensional width.

Already a champion, the Hazard wheel earned the top qualifying position and 1st place at the 2011 ROAR Off-Road Nationals in the Pro 2 modified class in the hands of Ryan Maifield. A dominating performance taking the TQ in the first 3 rounds of qualifying and 1st place in A-main #1 and 2 to take retain the title for JConcepts.

By nature, Short Course trucks have a high center of gravity and tend to feel light or tippy in high-speed sections. There is no better way to improve on-track stability than to add width, and with the Hazard wheels, sweeping through the high-speed corners gets a little easier. Wheel profile, interior and exterior ribbing and spoke design were all areas of focus while creating the combination of durability, clearance, functionality and appearance. With the black color and a matte face appearance, being unique is worry free as practically any paint scheme can be matched to these exciting new wheels. The hassle-free and lightweight 1-piece design creates the ultimate race and show wheel for any competition.
To use the 12mm hex wheel on the SC10 it requires JConcepts part # 2081 for the rear and the Team Associated inboard hub hex conversion for front.

Features:
· Original 1:1 inspired JConcepts Hazard 12mm hex design
· 3mm per side additional width in offset
· Direct bolt-on fit for the SC10 4×4
· Bolt-on fit for the SC10 with 12mm hex adaptors
· Durable design, finish and material
· Black in color with matte face appearance
· Hassle free and lightweight 1-piece design
· Devastatingly handsome

Fits:
· SC10 F&R with conversion adaptors
· SC10 4×4 front and rear
· Traxxas Slash 2wd F&R with wide-track suspension kits

Revo®, JATO™, T-MAXX™, SLASH®, SLASH 4X4® etc. are trademarks and registered trademarks of Traxxas L.P.

Can't wait for the Hi-Flow. I'm having Larry at KUSTOMRCGRAPHICS paint me up one! Also mounted a set of the Hazard's on my SC10 already. Even though it's not my primary racer but my basher. Thank you Jconcepts for the awesome products!
