I plan on play racing/bashing my Slash 4x4 Ult. What would be a good all around diff oil setup for my basic racing needs as well as still need the power to be transferred to wheels while bashing. At this point, I doubt will be doing any competitive racing, mostly just demo derbo racing with the local guys at the track. Should I even bother with the center diff if that be the case?

Imo when bashing the center diff is a preference call. I like 50k front and 5k rear with the slipper for bashing

Wow, why so thick in the front vs the rear?

2 reasons: it feels like pulling in the direction the front tires are pointing and the ability to whip the rear end around. I thought it sounded too thick but i dig it

Maybe i'll start with 30k front as is, 100k center as is and 10k in rear to remove the grease and see how that feels.

Do it. Its all preference. Iirc traxxas sends the slash4x4 out the door with 30k front and grease in rear

I run on an indoor clay track which is sensitive to diff oils. 5k front, 5k rear, center diff a must. If I run 10k in the rear, it will push in tight corners almost doubling my turning radius.
