None of the tracks around here care. 4wd SC is open class, so almost anything goes. As long as we run SC tires, and SC body, and a max 2s pack, we're good to go.

I'd like to experiment with some softer springs than the HB grays. Anybody find some other makes that fit and might be a little softer?

I think the greys are about the softest you'll find for an 1/8 scale shock. I think the Losi reds may be a tad softer and they fit as well. So far the greys on my truck have worked very well in the bumpy stuff. I can't imagine needing a softer spring.

Thanks, I might give the Losi reds a try.

Seem's like the only D8 shock set's i can find are from the Hara edition. Will i be able to use the longer rear shocks and not have to use the D8t shock end? Or should i just keep serching for the stock 97mm's?

It's too bad they're so hard to find in sets now. I only paid $60 for all four from Ebay and a little more to get the parts from Amain that allow the conversion.

These seem harder to come by. I found you can also get shocks from a Hotbodies VE8. They are the same 97mm shocks. This may help expand your search options. I picked up a new set of these from ebay 2 weeks ago for $70 + shipping. They work great!

if you cant find them on ebay, the cheapest retail i have seen is here:
http://www.rcplanet.com/Hot_Bodies_B...p/HBS67296.htm

Still not really bad, but much more than the ebay chop shops charge :(

ok thanks so much, and you want 97 mm all the way around so you would need two sets of those right?
