About to buy my first 4WD SC truck and then I see this v2 is coming out in the next couple weeks. Hate to get screwed like I did waaaay back in the day when buying a Losi LXT and then the XXT came out a couple months later effectively getting rid of any aftermarket support for it. Looks to be a $25 difference, so is there much different? Thanks! Chris

its supposed to have new upgrade arms and lots of hop ups that most people put on after they buy the kit. but it doesnt come with body or tires . so you still have to spend another 100.00 just to get a roller. kind of disapointed they did that.

wow. i found some of the information on the durango site but didn't see that about the tires and body information. was gonna say its a hell of a deal for only $25 with all the stuff it seems they added. Last edited by Crawlin; 07-27-2012 at 10:36 PM.

They did that intentionally to cut down on the size of the box. The v2 box will be about the size of a DEX410 box. It saves Durango/distributors on shipping costs, and you get a truck with $200 in upgrades for $25 over the cost of the old truck. I believe the v2 includes the new white rims, the original didn't include tires either.

At the end of the day you might spend almost the same for either one..

One if my friends got one and while helping him build it the arms look stout. They beefed up the area around the inner hinge pin.

The new inner hingepin is not tapered in the middle like the old ones . 3mm drill blanks , a shaft off a broken hex driver or mcmaster carr pins are a few stronger than original options . haven't seen any feedback on durability of new pins yet.

I am assuming that if someone were to want to race one of the trucks, it'd be better just to wait until the v2 becomes available instead of just purchasing the R right now? Since the upgrades would be bought anyways and tires would be replaced

The shop I work for has the newest DESC410 V2 in stock. I know Great Planes is out of stock as are most places. PM if your intertested. It is brand new in the box. Just opened to make sure it was all in their. No bags where opened, just the box. Price from the shop is 389.99 plus shipping. Price is 40 bucks cheaper than Tower Hobbies is showing. Send me a PM or hit me up on one of my Slash threads if interested in getting it. We only have one. Brian
