Default sc8 converted to sc8e via tekno v4 conversion. for trade?

i have this sc8 converted to electric via a tekno v4 conversion that i am thinking of parting with. i am on the hunt for a hpi baja 5b 5t 5sc or any other 1/5th scale off road vehicle. love this truck it is mint only couple months old and about 7 runs on it thus far. i am in no hurry to part with it but i have always wanted a baja of some sort. let me know what you got if you have any intrest in it. it is a great truck very bad ass.

Post a pic of the chassis without the roll cage so that people can see the electronics and setup. Also maybe list what you have in the truck that would come in the trade or sale.

This section of the forum is pretty much dead so I would suggest posting on many forums to maybe get more interest.

Low interest in this truck blows my mind but it is what it is. I guess people just want to buy turd vehicles and then dump a bunch of money into them over time.

emaxxss's conversion looks pretty nice. Looks brand new even. Not a buggy wheel kind of guy and I don't even know how people run them. My sc8 stock tires rub on my body and I even lifted my body up one notch on the shock towers. I do jump mine and run it over some pretty nasty to scale bumps, kickers and braking bumps on my track where I ended up cutting some fuel tubing into small pieces and installed them onto my shafts at the bottoms to aid in serious bottoming out and limit over travel. No need to have the wheels to be able to travel up higher then when the chassis is on the ground. Doing this allowed me to lower my body back down to its lowest body mount position and it handles better and tracks better.

ya i am not a buggy wheel type either but my buddy had these and i tried them and i had to buy them. since the wheel is taller which makes the tire a lower profile to make it the same height as the stock wheel and tire combo. it totaly changed the handling of the truck it is much more sharper with its turning and the tire does not fold under at all so transitioning from left to right really quik and sharp it is alot better and much more contolable in drifting and exiting out of a drift. i just like the way it handles now. and it is a very new and clean conversion maybee 7 runs on it and i mean driving around the yard there are no hobby shops or tracks in norther maine. but anyway i loved the truck i wish i didnt have to sell it i really didnt but i have wanted a baja for a long time and i knew when i bought it i could end up trading it for a baja because alot of people want the sc8s. i had to get something from tower i could do easy pay on at the time so i could make payments and they do not offer the baja or the sc8e on easy pay. but i am glad about not having a true sc8e rtr because my conversion is far more superior. it does not run the mamba max pro esc mine has the mamba monster instead and the weight balancing of the tekno v4 conversion over the ae conversion is so much better. the tekno even moves the center diff back to the rear for more traction at the rear wheels and it is a very clean kit comes with everything even little clips on the chassis that hold all the wires nice and tight and clean. only thing i had left to do was mount the mechanical brake servo to the mount that is already mounted in the pics i posted anyway i did end up trading it for a baja 5bss which i wanted the 5t but this was a new 5bss and i am happy with the trade but miss the ae already what a beast it was and those badlands realy were something else man. they would grip so much i couldnt belive didnt matter what surface and the girlfriend didnt like the two ruts it dug in the yard rips the grass up like a dirt bike unreal. sorry about the book this post turned out to be but i wanted to share my thoughts of the truck

here is the build. the esc ended up right beside the motor with the mount they included i just drilled two holes on the side skirts because the mamba monster motor wires would not reach the esc with it mounted in the location the conversion called for at the rear of the motor(back corner of the chassis) and i was not about to cut the wires and solder some longer wire exstensions so it would reac. and with it mounted on the skirts it was still the same side the kit called for so the balance was pretty much the same. in the pics it was zip tied to the tekno motor mount for the time being. there are three vids of the truck on youtube after the conversion. title is sc8 tekno conversion bmx track, sc8 bmx track, or just go to my profile emaxxss and all my vids are there. leave me comments let me know what you think. nothing special but first time driving on a track when i moved to ct. i had fun with it probably more fun than i will have with the baja there. if the baja takes a couple spils like the sc8 did i am sure it will break. those sc8s are bullet proof

Cool thanks for sharing the additional info. I'd really like to drive your vehicle and then drive mine back to back and see the differences for myself. I'd have to experience it first hand to see what differences I noticed. Mine handles pretty good so I could only imagine it handling even better. When the HPI Apache buggy wheels become available with the SC sidewall tire insert I may make the change. I figured that there would be a difference I just didn't know how great it could be.

Do you happen to have all the parts you removed to make this electric? Just bought a SC8e and wouldn't mind changing it to gas when I head to the desert so figured I'd ask...
