| Is it attached by velcro? Nice. I have no problems with my JConcepts overtray though. |

| Sure looks like it, and can't think of a more obviously practical means of attaching it |

| Anyone know of a place to buy this that's not directly off outerwear's site? I didn't think shipping would be so much for a small piece of velcro and whatever its made of. |

| Its nice to have other options for this but I think its over priced. Heck I think the JConcepts is over priced as well. Its only $10 less then a whole body cost. When the racing season picks back up in March I will see how it goes & if need be pick up the JConcepts - Plus I can wrap it hahaha You can use bandage wrap @ under $3 for a whole roll @ Wallyworld... And its $10 cheaper..! |

The JConcepts overtray is a body. Just a very basic and streamlined buggy body, that's all. And seriously, bandage wrap? I couldn't even begin to imagine the plethora of issues with that. | |

| you know, I just thought of a pretty cool idea... not the most budget oriented... but, since I already have a JConcepts overtray it won't be too bad. Anyway, I have been a little skeptical at how the overtray will effect the ESC temps when running in the summer time, like constant 80-90deg F. I do have three ~3/8" holes drilled in it above the ESC fan, but that still doesn't flow much air really, and actually allows some debris to still enter the chassis, even if negligible. Well, now I've thought of somehow trying to get my hands on some of this Outerwears "material", don't need a lot and don't want to spend much so maybe I'll just simply purchase their cheapest product and cut it to size. I'll cut a nice size elongated oval and place it over a matching size hole I would cut at the highest point of the JConcepts overtray and then shoegoo the Outerwears material over it. Would breathe very well in summer, but deflect debris and water that simply drilling holes, and the shape of the overtray would still remain strong, and easy to remove and install. Also, anyone happen to know if Outerwears makes products for Injen? I have a large Injen cone-filter "pre-filter" that is supposed to do the same thing as the Outerwears products, and looks exactly the same.... works good for me. | Yes bandage wrap..! Not the kind you wrap an ankle with during a sprang. Its somewhat tacky and sticks to itself. When I ran dirt oval back in 90's with a modified gold pan RC10 ALL the racers would wrap their motors ends with it. No issues with heat as it is completely breathable. To this day a lot of guys running in sand dunes, etc. wrap their motors with it. You can buy it @ Walmart. Next time I go I will get the name... |
