Default New to the ae world

Picked up a sc10 4x4 yesterday. Just wondering about gearing and battery options.

It's running an ez run 120a esc with the tenshock sc401 4600 motor.
I'll be using it strictly for racing at a mid size, loose off road track. Any idea on where I should start with gearing.

Next question is what 2s lipo would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

P.s. I have a castle 3800 sct system as well, not sure which would work better in the truck.

I run a 411 4600 with a 13t pinion, seems to get my temps at about 150 to 160 at the end of a race and has plenty of speed.

For lipos, if you don't have the stick packs already, you may want to go with a saddle setup. I have a few of these so I'm not spending the $ on saddles.
Great batteries for the $. The 6000's will probably come back in stock before the 6600's. This is USA warehouse.

Haven't tried these, but they look promising. 6000/50c

so what's the deal with ThrottleWorx, are they still in business?

I can't seem to get their website to load :(

I recently bought a used shorty LiPo and have been VERY impressed with its performance and would like to buy another pack for my SCT too, here are some tests that I've ran:

I'm running 13/62. 32p gears. Longest straight at the track I run is around 50'. Good all around gear for me.
