I need to wait for the next weekend to see if everything we did last autumn stayed there, because right now, it looks like this :P

Clicked on the first picture: WOW that would be an awesome place to put in a track.

Clicked on the second: Thank god that spot was taken advantage of. You can really do some cool stuff with the space.

Saw the bottom four: Damn. Sucks. Sad. Hurry, hurry.

You should make a vid with all the trucks running at once, or at least as many trucks as there are drivers.

Cant find pics right now. Done a lot of grass removing and jump improvements since this vid. Also widened all areas of track to 12'. Track is about 90x150, just moved the stand from where vid was shot to right side of track as you look at it. Need more grass killing and some lights!

I like some of the tracks in this thread too. May incorporate some of your ideas into my setup.

Haven't got it packed yet, and I still need to do burm work. I'm thinkin...more clay! Jumps to come, as well getting rid of the huge red ant hill in the big middle bald spot..these things are hard to get rid of. A work in progress to say the least. Can't wait to get some more water on it and take a few pics of some runs. I'm also thinking of a lil half pipe against the shed. Not exactly what I started out wanting, but close enough for now.

Just Noticed...Happy B-Day colorado chaos...nice thread

Default Redwood Raceway

Hey building a track in the side lot, me and my lady work on it on the weekends so far and we've had only two weekends of work so far. The track is surrounded by redwoods and good scenery so its been dubbed the:
Redwood Raceway
Ill keep updating pics every weekend till racing.

Layout

The scene

Track spot

4-25-10 Got the lanes layed out and got driver blocks and pit in place.

5-1-10 Starting grass removal

5-2-10 All grass removed and bases for berms started. All the berms need topcoats and all lanes need grading and jumps made.

Stay tuned for updates...

How much $$ do you spend on making a track ? I was wanting to make one and was wondering how much it cost for clay. Fill dirt is pretty cheap but im sure it wont pack as well.
So far im thinking i'll need, dirt/clay , something for the sides and probably need to rent a tapper or what ever there called to pack the dirt.
