Keep the track small so you don't have to have turn marshalls trucks.

Wow. This thread is sick. My dad has 5 acres with a few trailers and tons of mesquite on it. I'm gonna have to clear some area out there for a track. i live in the burbs and my wife definitely will not allow me to tear up the grass for a track. Although, I have a sprinkler system in the back that would be perfect to dampen it....

Is there somewhere that I can check for tips on how to design/build this track? I wish I had a cat but I think i will have to use my dads old school john deer and a drag along blade. Thanks to all the people who have posted pics of their tracks. They really are inspiring.

I unfortunately am the only person I know in the area into the hobby. But hopefully my fam and friends will get pulled in. Build it and they shall come right?

Those tracks are real nice. Here in Ohio, if I didn't live in the backyard, the track would get grown up in weeds in no time. Luckily though, there's an RC track at the local park Almost all the benefits of a backyard track without the personal attention

Default my track

My track. The jumps themselves are about 3 feet tall just to put it into scale. Needs a little more work once it stops FREAKING RAINING but this works for now.

Love this thread. Going to start on a couple around my area. Looking as far as ideas go.
If you have a track grab your camera and post!

Here's mine. There's no jump yet, not track yet because everything needs to be removable. So one day I can do a big oval race for either 1/10 or 1/5, then switch to a full racing track with cone, dot track, removable jumps and bumps.

I started from this: http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/5...090605018t.jpg

to this: http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4190/63672320.jpg

I need to wait for the next weekend to see if everything we did last autumn stayed there, because right now, it looks like this :P
