Ease up on the caps

It doesn't compare to any other SC truck, 2wd or 4wd. There are a couple of design flaws that hold it back. First being no slipper clutch. Second is the odd wheelbase. No other body will fit this truck and the stock one is strangely proportioned. Just looks ..umm.."off".

It's not a racer, definitely not a basher. Makes a nice shelf queen though

Also, don't get me started on the price. I mean c'mon..they want over $60 for the 2 frickin' fiberglass chassis plates.

Talking about the Pro2

Lower the price and offer a different body design and I'll pick up another one. Until then....

has it been almost a year since the last post? Anyone still playing around with their truck? Mine has been sitting until I find time to get into it and work on making it more durable. I love how it drives and have accepted it will never be competitive- but need it to quit breaking!

the new hpi mini desert trophy truck body would look and work killer on this truck...when i first heard abt the hpi dt truck before it was released i was hopin it was gonna be more like the thunder tech with a solid axle but no luck more irs

it does look like they will be close. i will find out soon. :) the seperate body pieces is a great idea. having one piece on the pro-2 causes breaks from no support even when i added braces. i may just remove the rear portions along with the body mounts and mount the cab direct to the cage- should be close to a desert truggy after that.

i'll also see how the thundertech wheels fit. i still have my black wheels with the rock creepers!

The pro-2 track is 9 inches with a 12 inch wheel base.
The mini trophy is 9 3/16" with a wheel base of 12 9/32".
Should be close enough. Biggest concern now is length and cab and hood on both trucks and whether they fit over the cage properly.

Looks like the body from the mini trophy will fit just fine. The rear of the cab lines up perfectly with the rear of the cage and sits on the top of the cage. I will just need to add posts for body clips or screw the body to the side of the cage- at the bottom of the side "window" portion. Screwing it on would be no problem since the battery is on the bottom of the truck. The rear fenders will require more creativity for mounting- but the length is just right.
