Well, I liked the Sharpie Idea, I did it on my brother's Durango buggy before, but never on a SCT body, so I went ahead and tried it on my new Flotek Raptor for me SCTE ![]() ![]() Masked ![]() and painted! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It came out OK in my opinion, the sharpie started to fade on me towards the end and you can tell up close, but not too bad for the first one! I think Ill keep this a theme for my bodies. Let me know what you think!

That looks amazing! My wife and I just did two bodies in sharpie's and had a nightmare trying to get it to stick. Went through 20 or so markers and never were super happy with the results. What markers did you use and where did you get them?

| I used the "Sharpie" brand oil-based paint sharpies. Such as these: SharpieŽ | Sharpie Oil-Based Paint Marker, Fine-Point I bought mine from a dollar store, my guess is any Walmart of Hobby Lobby would have some. and thanks! |

Wow, good job. My favorite part is the alien with the RC transmitter. To funny. The only thing I've used a sharpie for is covering up poor masking lines from the outside. I never would have thought to use them on the inside as kind of a mask.

thanks everyone for the kind words. I think the next body I do, I will use a finer tip sharpie to get the detail a little bit better, and more colors, maybe to the point of actually creating real pictures and such. I love doing artistic stuff, loved drawing growing up as a kid, so this was a really fun project for me. Many fellow racers at the track stopped and asked where I got the "skins" or stencils. they couldn't believe it was hand-drawing lol. There have been some sharpie bodies before, far better than this one, but I hope to top those eventually as I get more practice with more bodies.
