Ive had some difficulty with getting my truck to jump consistently, it seems that sometimes it jumps ok, then the next lap the air just takes it to the moon and back down to earth (im talking about the stock Losi body).... The body is pretty beat up already, duct-tape and all, so it's time to retire it as well. I have a 14RS body that Im going to try to run and see how it handles the jumps, I think it will be fun to drive for sure because it's so different to any o the other short course bodies. ..... I decided I always want to try to have two different bodies so I need a performance-based body. What would you guys recommend, what are you using and what kind of experience have you had with it? Thanks!

I think this is a good topic. I ended up getting the j concepts high flow chevy body. I based my decision off of looks and the hope that it out performs the stocker.

I'm currently painting a Losi TLR High Performance body and I'm digging it so far. Very nice lines and it's a bit thicker than the stocker. It also has tons of cut out areas for ventilation. I'm not going to cut out all the vents in hopes to get it to last longer, I find myself on the lid more than I'd like. Stock Photo: ![]() ![]() Mine will end up being a one-color-wonder in fluorescent yellow.

I really like that^ looks like the air will flow through there really well. Those of you with Flo-tek bodies, how durable have you found them to be?

I have two flo-tek bodies. One the F-150 Raptor which I have had for a while and has been a great body. Flies great through the air and has been very durable. No major damages to it and have had it for a couple months now with track visits once a week. Just bought the "basic" flo-tek clear body, only have had time to paint it so far but will update with how it performs once I get it on the track. I'll also try to get some pics up tonight too.

I'm using a jconcepts hi-flow 0222 body. So far I love it. I decided not to cut all the vents as well. It's vented nearly identical to the losi performance.

Acill, even by not cutting out all the vents you still saw a real difference from the stocker?

It will now be time for me to get another body as well. I like the performance and flowtek type bodies, except for one thing. On the stock Losi body, I cut out the front of the scoop so it would let me push air INTO the body (and had a cut out in back to let it out). This dropped the temp on electronics, but also helped me in catching air up front and venting it out the top in the back to assist in more level jumping instead of nose diving. I'm getting better at the nose diving bit via throttle controlled jump exits, but still have a bit to go. Having done lots of 2wd, if I end up with the opposite problem of the front coming up, that's easy for me to deal with. Does anybody know of a flow type body that has a forward facing front scoop I can cut out (like the stock Losi body), rather than everything only facing back (which would help the front drop faster)?

I ran a Pro-Line Flo-Tek Silverado for quite some time. I was still new to 4WD and took plenty of nasty spills with it. It was reinforced in the rear areas with some drywall tape and Shoo Goo, but it's held up admirably. In fact, other that merely looking rather ragged, I could still run it today. It jumps pretty well, however it noses over just a bit more than I would prefer. Since you need to be on the throttle to keep the nose up, it can make it challenging to shut down quickly when landing. For clarity, here's the body I'm referring to (I'd since vented it a bit more): ![]() I also picked up a JConcepts Hi-Flow 2012 Silverado. It's got love it or hate it looks, but I got it for free to I decided to paint it up and try it. I couldn't tell a difference on the ground, but it flies very differently. It catches a lot of air! It flies level, which is a good thing, but it has a tremendous amount of lift and I could see it slowing down in mid-air flight. For me, it was too much lift and I've since shelfed this body. Again, a pic for clarity: ![]() Since I was overall more pleased with the Pro-Line Flo-Tek body, I decided to give them another try. This time I opted for the new Toyota. I've yet to run it on a track with any big jumps, but so far I'm pleased with it. This time, instead of adding any drywall/Shoe Goo, I sprayed the rear area with Plasti-Dip coating to coat tool handles with.

I went with the Proline FLo-tek SVT Raptor body. I got it all cut out today, got a few things to work on my truck in order to get the holes lined up and get her painted. I was going to try and do my regular custom stickers but my printer is outtie right now, so stock stickers it is for now. Pics to come! thanks for all the input guys! this body is awesome!
