Default Custom Headlights / Tailights / Grill / ETC

Hey Folks,

just got my XXX SCT a few weeks ago and just feel like changing the look of the stock body before I go and get a new one. I chose BMW as my new theme (since I work there I guess... and love the cars / SUVs) , so I went and got me a sample of some sticker paper to mess around with. Ive never made custom stickers before so this should be cool. Feel free to share if you have any advice or have done this before!!

My truck

Before I can make a full opinion I'd like to see the full deal with grill and tail lights. So far, I like the work but not sure about the overall look. If BMW made a true truck the concept would translate better?

So Zadler, I take it you haven't seen Armin Schwartz's BMW-powered Jimco Trophy Truck?

Nope, never knew that even exsisted. Looks sort of like the Proline 14RS body in a way.

I'm not like you Mike, I don't know about every car ever made that was raced. Not that it's a bad thing just sayin.

On a side note, I got to do a little iRacing last week. Talk about a wake up call to how these racing cars really are on the track and I got a much bigger respect for all these guys out on the track no matter what they race!

Now on to the grill, Used the i8 concept for some inspiration, kinda hard to make it work on a truck with such a wide grill, but we'll see how it comes out

Here's the Grill! I also removed a few of the stickers for a cleaner look

Looks best from the front, also notice my red ink was very low, so I didnt get the full color there. Remember, this is just a trial, I will eventually order real stickers, full color, glossy, etc once I get the tail lights and some other goodies done.

Personally, its not my style. I am a Chevy guy. That aside the creativity and execution are great. The decals look really good. If you didn't know better you would think it came that way. If its your style and you like it the go with it.

What type of decal paper are you using? Special printer?

At his point Im using regular adhesive paper (AKA regular paper with sticky peel off backing).... so its not glossy like regular RC decals... yet. My plan is to get all the decals exactly how I want them, then put them all into an 8.5x11 photoshop file and have someone print it, like Kinkos or a graphics shop... then they will be real decals, full color, water proof, etc.

I love BMW's man, I am part of the BMW engineering team in plant Spartanburg, so I guess it just kinda runs in me haha
