Open day today (Sunday 15th)
$10 and you can run all day (9-4) sausage sizzle and drinks will be on.

Yep, that was a great day considering we were about to call it off due to the rain! But the track dried up nicely and by midday there was a nice racing line for the bigger cars.
As far as I could see there weren't any major issues with the way things are set up but we would appreciate any feedback from those that were there so we can fine tune before the first real race day on the 29th.
It was great to see plenty of families there, the kids certainly seemed to have heaps of fun both on and off the track. Judging by the numbers, it's a certainty that we'll run a kid's race each meet for the under 12's.
It also looks like 2wd buggy is a certainty and stadium trucks are very possible.
A big thanks needs to go out to the birthday boy Darren for manning the computer all day in race control.
Also to the lovely Allison for cooking the snags and everyone who marshaled.
The committee will be having a meeting during the week so if any members would like something put on the agenda, please contact Darren or myself.

RACE DAY 29TH January 2012
Location 18 Fremantle Street Burleigh exit 87 M1
Gates open at 8am for registration, 8.45am cutoff
Racing from 9am till 3pm depending on numbers
Drinks and BBQ will be available on the day $2 each
Memberships are available on the day from Race Control for $50 per annum
Cost for Affiliation Members is 1st class is $10 and $5 for every other class up to 50% of the races
Non Affiliation Members is 1st class is $15 and $10 for every other class up to 50% of the races
Personal Transponders are available for hire $10 for the day for new racers
Kids and families most welcome even having a under 12 class to race each other
Everyone’s welcome to come and enjoy the competition of Electric radio controlled 1/8th and 1/10th scale off road racing at the brand new Gold Coast electric off road race track. All classes will be covered, does not matter what type of off road car you have we will find a race for you to enjoy the track and fun of friendly competition.

1/10th 2wd Buggy, 1/10th 4wd Buggy , 1/10th 2wd Short Course Truck , 1/10th 4wd Short Course Truck , 1/8th Buggy and 1/8th Truggy / Monster Trucks + others. Come 1 come all members and guests all welcome to come have some fun with a brand new track and show your support for an Electric club on the gold coast, see you trackside.

and 2 full heats of 4wd SCT

nice open track with plenty of room for some great fun

big day 33 races run before the storm got us with only 3 races missing out from completeing the day

ok guys we are just getting bigger and bigger come race at the best off road track on the gold coast

average 60+ entries and 36 to 40 races in a day woohoo

next race meeting is on the 22nd of April

the quality and toughness of the racing has to be seen to be believed with results very close and very fast and freindly with good sportsmanship driving
