Default What motors are you running

Im using a Mamba Sidewinder V2 with a CM36 4600kv motor, 3s lipo and the gearing is 11, 42.

Id like a motor with more torque but dont want to change the battery or esc, any suggestions

Whats yours?

I run a CC SWv2 SCT 3800kv in mine. Plenty of torque with a 15t pinion and tons of top speed. Temps are @ 137* or lower after a full pack

2S 5000mah 35c. 3s is too much. I ran 3s once and it is uncontrolable. Battery just sits now. I will probably list it soon

Turnigy TrackStar 4168 2650KV 1/8th Brushless Motor

That motor is to much for the sidewinder to handle

wow as in compared to ???...can u pop a wheelie at will?...

mine can't even pop a wheelie at stand still...and to me popping a wheelie while going 30+mph would be wow...

and on dirt...while i'm turning...i can't spin out the rear end...on my merv and erbe...i can do that at will....so yeah....this thing feels underpowered and not fast enough...

You need to grab a 3800kv-4600kv 4pole motor. I would say the 4000kv would probably be a good place to start for you. Its got a lot of torque and enough top end to hit 40. With a good battery wheelies shouldnt ever be an issue

I have 2 trucks running a castle 1410 with Momba ESC 15 t pinion on 3s tamed down ,was puffing out 2s ,our track is long and fast ,cool off motor after each battery with an air matress fam , their not blistering hot though, 2nd truck Novak 550 6 turn on a 120 amp hobby king ESC burned up castle so trying this ,works great ,have to really back it down ,and both trucks will lift the front end while already moving , diffs need a lot of attention when putting down that much power but I have 9 trucks and these are my favorites and fastest even over the 1/8 ,just don't pull the trigger unless your ready

I burned up my 550 so I installed a castle 2650 kv 1/8 motor 120 A esc 20t pinion tamed it down , runs on 3 s very controllable , really smooth , no problems , now my favorite truck to drive , others have a 1410 and a stock team associated

Tekin RX8 and a Tekin Pro4 4600... Its a handful and I have turned it way down. I also have a Tekin 550 in 4.5.. Much easier to drive with the power band on that motor. I run mostly indoor, and honestly, the Pro4 4000 is probably the best option...My truck is very light and I have run a Tekin Red Line 6.5 with a high torque rotor with good success.
