Default High Temps, Cant figure out why

Okay so i have the Losi 8 T - 2.0 and tuneing in the engine has been a pain...

The HSN Is Flush with the Brass, and the LSN is 3 1/2 Turns out, it runs nice, doesnt bog down, but it runs really hot really quick, it will get up to temp around 210-230 , and then all the sudden shoot up to like 270-300 , and im not sure why, But when i used my temp gun it showed a temp 20 Degrees cooler then my telementry , could the telmenty be bad?

help?
It seems Rich, as its got a good cloud of smoke, but how could i keep temps in check?

You could have a air leak, causing it to run lean (hot). I don't know too much about nitro motors, but I know alot about 2-strokes.

What engine? Make sure you have no brake or driveline drag. Are you running in grass?

I call air leak. I rebuilt me carburetor after this happened to me when I bought it. Just go through and re-oil the o-rings throughout the engine. The 454 is a great engine when tuned correctly, but I do agree, it can be a pain sometimes.

also, ditch the telemetry. It's worthless. lol

Nope I got it all squared away, it was leaning out a lot. Me (and my lhs) got it sorted out and its running great!
And I like the telemetry: [
