|  Leaky shocks I've got a friend at my lhs who has his xxx sct on a shelf because of the fact that the shocks leak a lot. Is there a way to fix this or prevent it that you guys know of? Thanks! |

| Re: Leaky shocks Depending if they are leaking from the top or bottom of the shock body... Top - Maybe too much oil, stripped out cap, bad seal - you could try a very small dab of marine sealant or teflon tape. Bottom - Is lower cap tight, seals may be worn or torn - best to replace seals and take care in the rebuild not to tear the I.D. of the seal with the threads on the shock shaft Here's some rebuild links I found for you... | Re: Leaky shocks Use "green slime" on the orings in the cartridge, be sure not to overtighten the cartridge in the shock body, and be sure the shock isn't overfilled.  |
