| So today I got to the track, not quite as early as I wanted to be but 1st thing I did was buy shock oils, white rear springs, 84t spur gear. All for just shy of $20, not bad IMO. I never even went to the track with the box settings. Changed things right off the bat, 32.5 oil in front, 27.5 oil in the rear, -1* camber. I was able to borrow a set of bar code tires and they were okay for the 1st heat and most of the 2nd heat but thought I'd have better traction with the stock tires in the main and did. Lap times are comparable to the other 2 guys I raced with, we finished on the same lap all 3 races. My buggy is competitive with just the little adjustments I have done with tires soon to be boiled off 2 sets of front wheels of my SC10 for my SCB. It's kind of cool to see that my SC10 setup is for the most part transfering over to the SCB. Future changes, Rebar rear tires with Bar code front tires. I also want to remove the stock spektrum receiver and replace with a futaba unit. Once I get the tires on this thing I think the SCB will be fairly quick. Looking forward to next week. |

| Sounds like a lot of fun! Wish we had a dedicated SCB class at my track. A class of these would be killer. |

| I'll be racing again tomorrow but only tomorrow I won't have the tires on my buggy unfortunately. I keep forgetting to buy a cheap pot so I can try to boil off a set of tires from a couple pairs of front wheels off my SC10 that are practically new. Ahh well, I'll run the SCB on the stock tires and still be competitive. BTW, tell Brice to get his ass there tomorrow!!! |

| You could always go the acetone route for $15 and 6 hours - the wifey will never know. A gallon easily removes 10-15 sets, or more if you reuse it carefully. |

| The acetone is the best route, boiling is a pain and baking smells like crazy. The acetone works the best just takes the longest and costs more. |

| I've heard baking can destroy inserts if baked too long. I'm trying to reuse the tires and foams. I have some acetone I just gotta get it from my parents house. Update of my scb racing experience from last night. Okay the ONLY adjustments I've made so far has been shock oil, rear springs, and half oz of weight under the servo horn. Camber and toe were already -1 on all 4 wheels and front toe at 0 out of the box. I'm running 32.5 wt in front and 27.5 in the rear with the stock front spring and white rear spring. Stock rtr tires. There were 5 scb's racing last night, big turn out really. Race 1 I started 4th and was losing ground at 1st because I was either missing my line or getting tangled in traffic. Once I got into a groove my setup (what little there is) started reeling in 3rd then 2nd then entering the corner to the straight I drove it deep and the leader got real loose. I bumped into the side and spun him the other direction. Wasn't my fault. Finished 1st. The next 2 races were pretty much just keep the rubber down and be smooth. I really love how this scb handles! I found out the sct is about the same handling characteristics after driving one last night. Thanks dallas! So now I'm seriously considering a xxx-sct roller to possibly replace my sc10. Not that its a bad rig the sct just seems to handle better for my style of driving. |

I have a friend who runs very competitively with an XXX-SCT converted to the SCB chassis. I've never driven his truck, but if it takes on even a fraction of the handling benefits of the SCB, then that seems like it would be an ideal setup.

| The scb has a small push initially. With the few adjusment it is rather loose but its not an out of control loose. The sct that I drove was very similiar, little more loose then my scb but I blame the 13.5 motor. Btw that was the 1st time I've ever driven a mod truck dallas. Its not as crazy as I thought. As for switching it wouldn't be that big of an issue for me as I don't have a ton of ae replacement part for my sc10. Just wheels/tires that can be removed and switched over to losi wheels. Tomorrow I'm gonna put a feeler out to see if anyone wants to trade their xxx-sct for my sc10. If needed I will sell my sc10 and buy a new roller. My only complaint is the bottom load shocks, such a PITA to get right. Anyway I still love associated but losi handles better for me. Hey dallas, brice seemed to be mad last night that he couldn't keep up. Wonder if it had something to do with it being my 2nd race and basic setup? He even sent another driver out to try and beat me. |

I'm going to try to add more weight to the front, but looking to see what else people are doing. |

Also check to make sure your camber is good as well. Running mine at -1.5 all the way around on a carpet track.
