Default SCTE with Traxxas Slash body & whited out wheels

Hi, first post.

Just got my SCTE Roller today. God, this truck is sick.

My pictures are a bit sacrilegious but, hey, I think it looks great.

It's an SCTE with a Traxxas Slash body on it.

I was shocked to find out a Traxxas Slash body fits almost perfectly on the SCTE. The front body mounts line up perfectly. The rear body mounts are about 4mm behind where the rear Traxxas holes are.

Just put some paint or grease on top of the rear body mounts, put the body on, see where the paint or grease marks the underside and cut the new holes. After that body fit almost perfect. Had to sort of tuck the rear sides behind the rear bumper but that was super easy and even after that it still looked natural.

My wheels are "whited out". I dremeled off the chrome. With a sander Dremel attachment, the chrome came off like butter.

Also, the body mounts are at their lowest positions.

Btw great pics guys. I learned alot from this forum from past lurking.

Btw, the funny thing is I think the Slash Body looks a lot better on my SCTE than it does on the 2WD VXL I have (and selling soon).

Default Updated- No More Pimping Traxxas

Didn't like the idea of my Losi pimping a competitor's product so much so I covered up almost all mention of Traxxas with electrical tape. Good thing the black matches the overall cost scheme pretty well.

Here's the updated body.

My first car & paintjob. (Using rattlecans)
It turned out exactly as planned, except for some sloppy masking lines. Let's call it a learning experience :)
The decals are homemade, printed on transparent sticker using UV resistant ink so they shouldn't fade. Stuck them on the inside so they won't get damaged and it just looks better.

Full name "Oh shit I hit a paintbucket", nickname "PaintBukket".

Here is a couple pics of my new to me SCTE got in a trade deal. It has a SNR carbon fiber chassis, xtreme rc carbon fiber shock towers, custom battery holder with carbon fiber strap, TLR rear chassis brace, STRC front chassis brace, king headz dual bearing center diff mont with carbon fiber top plate, custom servo mount with aluminum standoffs, hard anodized ball ends, M2C 8 hole delrin shock pistons, TLR spring kits front and rear, TLR aluminum bleeder caps, STRC steering kit with jammin light steering post, and a DE rear skid plate. Running A tekin RX8 with Pro4 4600 motor. Savox 1258TG to control the beast. With a MT-4 in my hand.

Sorry did not get a chance to clean her up after a day on my backyard track. Since these pics taken have added a RPM front bumber to save the chassis from scraping. Also added hardened outdrives all the way around. Found the rear diff case was bad. Have since rebuilt all diffs. This beast is smooth as butter now.
