| Well I have to say I was very pleased with the first run of my STRIKE, and it only going to get better! Have some ideas how to get the body higher, but first thing I did was raise the ride height. I'll try to keep this thread updated on new insights, fixes, tips etc. with my STRIKE.........still can't believe I have one now!!!!! Last edited by Matt Sunderlage; 07-19-2010 at 06:56 PM. |

| Here she is!!!! ![]() Going to race it fop the first time tonite. I found you can shim the diff with shims for Tamiya sedans. The shims that You use to take out side to side slop in the bulk head. I have .1s in there now, nice to know I have options if it needs to be a little tighter(they have .2s and .3s as well). I got more ideas brewing hopefully my wheels and CVAs come in today. |

| If you want the Rx it's yours Dez. Well just got home from racing the STRIKE tonite for the first time. After inspection of the truck after the first two batteries one axle was pretty shredded..... ![]() I got adifferent one from a Slider I had laying around to run it tonite. I was nervous to say the least. So I walk in and go in the store to see if the CVAs came I ordered. Store manager tosses me a set of CVAs and says "Free from Losi"!!!! I put them in right away and the truck liked it. The stock tires were decent, better than SC10 tires, but they lacked the forward bite I was looking for. I mounted up a set of SLASH tires because I know how they work. Truck lost a little steering, SLASH tires take like 2 weeks to fully break in, but it was much more consistant. Qualifing was rough to say the least, but it let me play catch up and figuire out what I needed the truck to do for the main. I went thinner in front shock oil, went thicker with stock tires, and shortened the wheelbase. The truck was much more nimble and gave me what I neede to get out front. Went on to win and have LOTS of ideas to make it faster. The shimmed diff worked really well. The diff still needs to be a little tighter so I'll add some more shims. I think I got the gearing right by the end of the night ran 22/88 with the 10.5. Oh I got my clear body too!!!!!!!!!!! I also have a set of bowties to mount up and try thats what most people are using now in Mod SCT. Can't wait to practice on Saturday!!!!! Last edited by Matt Sunderlage; 05-29-2010 at 11:10 AM. |

| Congrats on the win! Good to see Losi step up w/ the CVAs. Seems the stock bones/stubs are junk. Who would have thought the stock Slash tires would be the hot ticket? Are you planning on installing the ball diff? |

| Thanks!!! I definetly had to work for it. I'll try shimming the gear diff first, I think it has potential. I had it apart to shim it and it's BEEFY in there!! I've owned all three SCTs and I must say the STRIKE doesn't drive like its two predecessors. I LIKE IT!!! |

Also heard that it likes to jump w/ a nose down attitude, did you find that to be the case?

| I think the SLASH tires work because they have good F/R balance so it will still turn well, but have enough bite so you can get in the gas with confidence. Once the diff is tighter this thing is going to be amazing. And yes it jumps with a nose down attitude. This thing looks like the real deal off the jumps and on to the landers. Once you get used to the way it jumps, totally different that the SLASH and SC10, you start too see a large grin on your face. |

| Almost forgot............... I got an idea how to get the body a little higher............. ![]() As you can see sniped and filed the posts off to make hole for taller posts. Front is the same and will need a little more work to make a hole. I need to figure out what posts to use because they don't have to very long at all....... Well more to come. |

I also like how far forward you can put the transponder!! Can't wait to get those body mounts!!! Last edited by Matt Sunderlage; 10-02-2009 at 04:03 AM. |

| The shocks are pretty smooth and NOT "leaky" at all... These are the same design as what is on my Slider, and those are a year old, never been rebuilt, and I can go a long time between "oil changes" on them and they are never low on oil. I have been VERY impressed with the shocks on the Slider -- part of what tempted me to take a chance on the Strike... |

| Well I may be getting a Strike sooner than I thought? One of the locals picked one up and doesn't like it. So I saw an opportunity to get rid of my TT Slash(gawd I hate Traxxas)and pick up the Strike. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. |

| Shocks are as smooth as butter and you can build them with NO AIR!! Like stated they are right off the Slider and are some of the nicest 10th off road shocks out there. Thanks Trevor finally got away from the CRASHFEST! Quote:
It looks really cool on the track probably the most "real" one because there isn't a big electric motor in the rear of a real SCT!!!
