Nexx 10SC steering angle/flex

Hey fellas,

Just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the Nexx 10SC's steering agle/flex?

I find with mine I don't have much angle at full lock and have a big turning circle and I have set EPA.

I also find at times under load it feels like the steering assemble just flex's which also reduces steering angle (I am using a 17kg servo, a cheapy but feels strong enough, strong enough to turn a 1/8th truggy).

I know STRC has an aluminium steering assembly but with the other things that would need upgrading by the time I get all the parts, I could have bought something better in the begining.

Other than this though, it seems fine, I am running all stock and original parts aside from one pivot ball and it's had about 2/3 - 3/4 of a season of use.
I feel it would make a great basher with stronger pivot balls but the plastic flexes too much for racing.

Just wondering if it's just me or if its a common thing people put up with/upgrade?

I think you should at least use the aluminum steering plate, but you might as well just get the STRC kit for $10 more.

You shouldn't have to upgrade anything else for going with aluminum bellcranks, except maybe bearings which are only a few dollars.

If you grind down the diff case where the linkage hits it will give you more steering.

Mine has just enough clearance as it is that it doesnt hit the diff case.

I might try some different tyres again and see if I can get anywhere with that.

Also have some aluminium laying around, I could make a place/ackermann linkage out of, see if that helps any.
Not too keen on buying after market aluminium bits, by the time I get the bits I would need, I could've just bought something else instead.

Plus I'm not sure if I want to keep this as a class, kinda thinking of swapping to 4wd buggy instead.
