![]() Ok I'm new to Hpi Mini Trophy Trucks, I put in a new brushless motor, and are having a hard time getting the gear mesh right, I know the motor mounts to a cam. You can rotate the cam to close the mesh or open the mesh, Its either too loose, or too tight, no happy medium, So is there a trick to find the sweet spot and get proper mesh, I'm using the stock 18/87 pinion and spur gear cause the olds were shot

![]() I removed the bracket the hold the motor down. had to hold the turn the motor until the mesh was tight then slowly turn to motor while holding the motor down so it would spin any further and with a finger test the mesh space by touch/sound. It's kind of hard to explain. I would hold the pinion down and spin the spur gear. you should feel a very small gap when when you move the spur back and forth.

![]() Thank you, Its easier to pull the tranny, so you can see the gear mesh better and hear it better, cause its a pain in the ass to do it in the truck. that's was my problem. plus the cvd's click so its hard to tell. but I got her now.
