Default Listen up HPI!!

First off HPI. I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!.This little truck is like crack. Well worth selling my E-Maxx for. It made me switch to all HPI products. I'm building a E-Firestorm ESE to replace my T4 and im considering the F1 car. We need some support HPI. We need you guys to push this truck and make it big! I hate this see this around for 1year then discontinue.
The big thing I would like to see is CVDs, Sealed diffs, different spurs(or a blitz style spur adapter), a revised slipper nut setup(really that little 5mm to adjust the slipper?) A heatsink motor mount/case like what the Blitz ESE has(the piece you tighten down that lock the motor plate down), better tires and offically licensed bodies and shocks and springs specifically design for this truck.

This truck is different. It has a feeling that it feel perfect for my style. It represents freedom to me. HPI has photos that explains what I'm talkin about. http://www.hpiracing.com/news/2010092701/

it seems as if most people on here are into racing and theis truck really doesnt do well on teh track from what Ive seen....If they made the truck 1/10 scale it would have probably taken off better

.........and I traded two 1/18 brushless half 8 , plus alittle cash. I can't put this thing down. I put in a 11turn double motor on a Tekin RS with a 2s 3300mah 20c lipo, and it rip's, a blast to bash anywhere.

more bodies, more spur's, dual shock's from out of the box, more tire option's.

What's great about this truck is it doesn't really need anything other than electronics and suspension upgrades. They don't break. My SC trucks sit on the shelf now. This thing is just too much fun!

I think your statement clarifies the different perspective. My local fast guy understood that this is not a "race machine" but rather a fun machine. So if he was trying to compete in the SC class with it...... i am SURE he was disappointed.

We just started a Mini SC class here and its really taking off, i think its possible a bunch of guys will buy the Mini Trophy and make a class out of it.

That would be cool!

I love this truck too. I never had so much enjoyment out of this hobby before until I got this little guy. I been waiting for a baja style truck and HPI did it. What would be great is a ESE kit that has alot of fixes and gives more adjustments to the suspension and is a capable track runner(for this class not the SC trucks). But my main beef is with the slipper. It's poorly design imo.

The only thing I can think of that I would like are licensed bodies from Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Toyota to make it look like the real trucks, and maybe a light bar kit specific to the MTDT. Otherwise I think it's well built stock. Normally I can come up with things I'd like to change on all of my trucks but not this one. I added the second set of rear shocks to increase dampening (maybe should have come stock???) and a BL system and that's all I think it needed. It's just fun to powerslide this thing in the dirt.

The more I run this truck the less I'm complaining and the more I'm enjoying. BTW I went the Ace hardware and picked up a washer for the slipper. Works but it's too thick. I cannot adjust the slipper now. Oh well.

Anyone have any inside info on future hop-ups from HPI? I would love to see a heatsink on the motor mount set and the top cover that protects the spur gear.

I changed the springs on mine, but blue associated buggys on the front, dual shocks in the back with 1 set of gray hpi's and one set of silver associateds and this bad boy will stay nice and level through turns. Some times it will even lift the back inside wheel. Just need to get some better tires and it will be good to go. As fun as all wheel drive slides are though.......
