Anything special you had to do to make it work? Or was everything stock otherwise except for the spur.

Were you able to get your motor temps under control after changing the gearing? We need a follow-up report....

Its been awhile. I haven't had the time to rebuild my truck. Anyways all you need to use the losi spur is the losi slipper pads. That's it. Also this gearing mod is design for high torque motors where the stock spur doesn't provide the right rollout. When I ran a Titan 12t with 21/87 its was Just to slow and the motor was winding out instantly and wasn't even getting warm. Also when I race my velineon I'm guessing I was so undergeared it was causing my motor to overheat
I was hitting 200°f. I needed a taller gearing. You Also have more choice when using the losi plus I never stripped a losi kelvar and they are silky smooth to.

Thanks for the response. I put a Titan 12T motor in this weekend with the spur and a 19t pinion. No top speed at all.

I like this truck, but doubt I'll invest in a brushless system for it. I put the 12T motor in mostly because I wanted more torque so I don't have to worry as much when running it in the grass when playing with my kids and their SC trucks in the back yard.

It would still be nice to regain some of the top speed by adjusting the gearing though.

I'm running an EZ-Run 3300Kv setup on 2s 30c LiPos...gearing up from stock to 20 or 21 tooth...18t doesn't seem to have enough "Umph"

Im running it had to jump to the 24p from RR with the 5mm shaft and I tried to stay stock on the spur but didnt have any adjustment. It was great for a min but now I need to go to the losi spur and see if they can play nice. Im brand new to electric but I love this truck. Any recomendations on spur gear would be great Im going losi for now.

Do you think this is a perfect combination for the mini trophy?
HPI Flux Reload V2 Waterproof Brushless ESC 101749 RRP £53.99 | eBay
HPI Flux Shot 4300KV Brushless Motor 101279 RRP £54.99 | eBay
and which pinion is good for that? Do you think 16T is ok?
Thanks

That might work ok but I would not buy it because it looks like a cheap china made combo and would not trust it in one of my RC's.
