Default Spektrum lap counter system

Any one use this??? I'm interested and would like thoughts from those that have used it. I want to track my personal lap times to changes made in setups.

I don't get it. I googled it and it looks like it's like 10 bux and it's a wire and a piece of plastic?

my thoughts on any personal lap counting stuff is that.....it sucks, reason being that they are not accurate, I have tried similar items in the past and quite honestly, just not the results I was looking for, what I feel works the best and most of the tracks offer it, is having practice days-nights with the race computer turned on, that will be the most accurate timing and scoring you will get, so best advice is to give your local track the practice money for the day, find a dialed set up and compare with a print out, go and have some fun, and most of all support your local tracks

Wow, Spektrum's website sucks when it comes to this lap counter... It's three seperate pieces to make it work. One of the pieces doesn't even show up on their own website..

Here's what is needed:

Spektrum SPM1320 Handheld ---- $69.99 (GS Hobby)
Telemetry Lap Timing Trigger ---- $69.99 retail
Lap Counter/Timer Sensor ---- $ 9.99 retail

Looks like Spectrum's site has everything listed to me.

And the optional accessory "Telemetry Lap Timing Trigger" is listed under related products.

I would sure hope it's accurate for that price.

Tried it. It worked relatively well for about three runs, then just decided to work when it wanted to. I made a cutom mount for the receiver eye, cut a hole in the body, tried every imaginable placement of the lap trigger... basically wasted about 3 days fooling with it. It's not worth the trouble. Sold it on eBay. You'd get more accurate timing paying a neighbor kid $5 to time you with a stopwatch.
