Default Motor problem..

Well I recently bought a storage at an auction. And found a big case full of 5b parts, two engines tons of wheels, carbs etc.
I then found the 5b with no body.. Needed some work. I only spent 300 on the storage, I think it was a steal!.. AnywhoM
. It has a DDM motor not sure how many cc's but I went to run it and it would go not so fast then die.. Then I would start it up, it goes for a good 5-10 seconds and when I don't give it gas it dies. I thought it was the tuneing but went to park to day and couldn't figure it out.. It had some gas already in it. Maybe it wasn't properly mixed? Would it do that ? Also If you have a 5b body hit me up..
Thanks
D

For something that has been siting for that long I would get rid of the gas in it and then get a carb rebuild from DDM and that should fix the problem. Most things like this are the ports on the carb getting clogged and even new gas won't clear them out. The old gas turns into a sludge and ruins good parts. Start with the carb and some fresh gas and see how that does. If is still doen't work let us know exactly how it is running and we can go from there. I ahve three of these things and each one has its own temperments. HTH.

Carb needs rebuild. Its common after this ethanol fuel, clean carb and you should be fine.
