![]() When i do a normal charge , lipo balance charging , my lipo's are charged in about an hour. i run 2s 5800mah , so i charge them with 6.0a 2s. When they're fully charged my charger stops. I've been reading about storing lipo's at about 40% , so that's why i did run the lipo storage program. They've told me to charge them to 2.0a 2s. I also heard that even charged lipo's can do this program , so they discharge to the storage level. I did this yesterday , but didn't really got lucky. In the right corner where the amp level shows, it went over 2000mah. Also the charger didn't stop and kept going. Around 75 minutes i did stopt the charger myself. What did i do wrong ? I'm not so technical with electricity so don't make it to difficult ;) Thanks

![]() Charger probably didn't stop itself because it was looking for 4.2V. I don't have a storage option on my charger so I also run a 40% profile for storage charges. It usually overshoots the mah by a bit but usually shuts off about 3.8v. You might be able to set the time back so it will stop where you want it to. You are really shooting to get the right voltage not the right mah.

![]() Storage sets it at 3.8 per cell. Just wait for it to stop.

![]() It's not a rigid rule...just somewhere near half capacity. If you know the lipo needs a full recharge, set the charger for half of the rated mah of the battery and let it go. If the battery is full, throw it in a rig and bomb it around for a little while.

![]() Okay , thanks. Another something did happen while charging on lipo balance charge. At 3400 mah i got the message 'lipo capa' and charging did stop. I had to start the program again and then it did stop with 'lipo full'. I've read that this is because the battery is at it's capacity , but it's a 5800mah batt and not a 3400. The charger does it with both my batts. Is this a setting or something normal ? Thanks.

![]() hi, storage-charging a full battery takes a longer time because your charger only charges/discharges at 2A in this mode, while charging the battery with 6A takes about an hour, discharging from full charge to 40%: 5800mah (5.8A) x 40% = 2.32A. 5.8A-2.32A= 3.48A witch needs to be discharged. At 2A an hour this would take 1 hour and 45 minutes. The charges blinks "Lipo Capa" because the charger has reached the user adjustable limit for how much mah it will charge in one cykle. Just change this limit in the chargers settings to a value a bit higher than your biggest batterys mah. Same applies when "Lipo time" is blinking as the charger also is equipped with an adjustable time limit. In short: When discharging your 5800mah battery, the charger will discharge at 2A, and take almost 2 hours to discharge the needed 3480mah to reach a 40% charge in the battery.
