Thinking about buying a 1:8 scale truck. I am a total newbie to brushless and the truck i have checked out is available in two different versions. One with Mamba Max Pro Esc and Neu-Castle 2200kV motor. the other one is equipped with XP SC1300-BL Esc and Reedy 1515-sl 2000kv motor. Both trucks are about the same price so my question is: Which powerplant is the better? I intend to keep it stock (at least for now) and I prefer quality over power in this case Thankful for any help i can get /Daniel

What kind of truck? Are you racing or bashing? Budget? Answer all these questions so that you can get well informed opinions.

Itīs the Team Associated sc8e. I will mostly race it at the track, but just for fun with friends. The budget is the purchase of the truck, no further upgrades is planned at this moment

You asked, you'll get 1000 answers....IMO, I'd go with the Castle set-up. Why you ask?? I've found the CC stuff very reliable, very user-friendly and I use it. I have no experience with the Greedy stuff.....It may be as good as sliced-bread, but I do not know. Last edited by Old Ezra; 09-05-2012 at 09:55 PM.
