As the title of my post suggests, I am having trouble with the dogbones on my Axial EXO Terra. The issue is that the left rear dogbone keeps falling out. Very frustrating. Has anyone else experienced this, or can anyone offer some advice. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have tried all the simple adjustments but with no positive results. Again any advice would be appreciated beyond belief. I am at my wits end with this issue.

I bought a pair of the front dog bones and put them in the rear. Front are 96mm vs the rear at 94mm. Some have also put in those little red orings on either side of the rear dog bones and reported that has worked.

You can use fuel tubing as well, just cut a few at 2 to 3mm long and place them into the cups to take up the extra gap that is present. Hope this helps your problem, it worked for me

I haven't lost a dogbone yet but did notice that when the body is off and the arms are all the way up the dog bone will come stuck and be a pain to free up. Wondering if my SCRT10 sway bar is helping keep the rear dogbones in place. I built my kit to the manuals specs and all seems to be running well.

On my kit, 2 or 3mms of tubing caused the rear dogbones to not move freely at droop (/w Rear shocks) and at any suspension travel, so instead I've just put 1mm-ish of fuel tubing spacer in the Diff outdrives, as that is presumably the correct location (so I've read). I wonder if I need those spacers at all, is it possible that hey have resolved this issue in later kits? (ordered mine 1 month ago approx.)

Just ordered a set of 96mm fronts for the rear, Though about tubing or washers but the 96 fit perfect with no issues. Im thinking of going to CVDs and If I do, I'm gonna order the front CVD's and try them first on the rear as they are the same 96mm. But all in all everyone I know that has this buggy has upgraded the rear dogbones to the 96mm fronts.

Mine are right in the center of the diff cuff at the mid point of the arm travel. ![]() I haven't had any issues of the dog bone end of the Universal coming out using the rear universal axle set on the rear. See photos in this post. New Axial EXO Terra Buggy Universal Axle Sets | |
