Default New track in SE AZ

I am trying to get as many people involved in forming a club in NE Tucson
Oro Valley, Catalina, Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth.... etc.

We have a site selected and will be building a large track 1/8 size and 1/10 friendly. Track size will be approx. 110'x110' so we will need plenty of volunteers.

Please post here if you are in this area and would like contact info. on when and where to help with the layout and building of this track.

Default Track site approved and starting.

After 2 different locations we now have a site to work with. It is 110x110 and will have 10-14' wide lanes. Here are a couple of pics of the chalked out layout.

We will be starting the build this weekend the 12th of Nov. so if you would like to come out and help please PM me here for directions.

Default 1/2 way progress

Here is the latest pic taken before most of the jumps were roughed in. We now have a couple more big jumps in place and are almost ready to start packing it in. Looking to have it useable Thanksgiving weekend.

Oh all this has been done by hand (wheelbarrel/shovel)...

Got about 80% packed and with tonights rain it should help pack it even more. Depending on if it rains in the morning we should be able to run the plate compacter again tomorrow afternoon making it nice and hard for Sat.

Got the track to a usable state and ran both my Hyper 10 SC and my D8T. Got a few places to tweak but its gonna be a fun track. I will be out there after 1pm tomorrow to run with some locals but might also be out there Sun. if there is enough interest. Please check the facebook link for more updates and times to come practice, 2 post up.

We do not have pipe in place yet, we need to get it fenced first, so if you don't mind running with just a chalk outline PM or check facebook for updates.

It was just me running this afternoon so I couldn't get a video up, will try tomorrow.

Thanks Dave,

Re-worked a lot of it and really made it fun and challenging to drive. I hope to post a new video this weekend of both 1/10 and 1/8 running.

Just updating.

The fence around the track was measured this morning and we should be fenced in next week, this means no more quads or bikes doing damage...

Moving fwd with the pipe shortly after and should have a good 1/8 scale track to play on.
